Have any Halloween costume ideas?

My sister and I are already planning our costumes she wants to be the good witch of the north from th wizard of oz! (she's 11) and im going to be an evil fairy! (I'm 13) any ideas for homemade costumes?

I wanna dress up like something pretty but not trashy but not like a witch, something you see all the time, i am looking through costumes on ebay, yes some are sexy looking, would that be wrong to wear? Like strawberry shortcake, fairy, or maybe even dorothy of wizard of oz?
Thanks

Me and my wife have been given a late invitation to a New Year costume party. It is a bit late to go shopping for costumes so we decided to just use what we have in the house and as we are fairly similar sizes we thought it would be a laugh to go dressed as each other! And we thought we would have a poll on here to choose what we wear, so please vote or give us other suggestions! We are going to really go all the way to try and look and act like each other, every single item of clothing must be the other persons even shoes and underwear, and use make up, hair gel, whatever we can find, and even use each others names for the night, it should be really funny! Happy New Year and please vote!

Here are the choices:

1. Go in each others work clothes, she will wear my suit, shirt and tie, I wear her jacket, blouse and skirt, and hose and high heels

2. Go in best black tie party clothes, she wears a tuxedo and I wear her black cocktail dress

3. Beach wear - she wears loud t-shirt and shorts, I wear bikini and sarong

Or we have some old outfits from costume parties in the past we could use, wizard and fairy or pilot and flight attendant!

Please vote! Happy New Year hope you have fun!

My mom says that this year, I'm too old for trick-or-treating; however, I'm still going to wear a costume to hand out candy. What I thought of was either Alice in Wonderland, Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, or Athena or another figure of Greek mythology, like Pandora.

I thought that with the Alice costume, when the kids came to the door, I could be all, "Oh, my! A tiger, a fairy and a ghoul! Don't tell me I'm back in Wonderland!", or for Dorothy, “Don’t tell me I’m back in Oz!”, but I already have the rudimentary "costume" for Athena, a cream colored sheet I could turn into a toga-like thing.

However, being Alice would mean having to buy nearly a whole costume, the blonde wig (I'm brunette), the blue dress, the white pinafore, and the white stockings/tights. Dorothy would probably be more work, though, because I’d have to buy (or find) the blue checkered dress, the white blouse, a long brunette wig (I have pretty short hair), the ribbons, and the red ruby slippers. However, I do have a terrier that would be pretty good for Toto! Additionally, the savings I’d get by being Athena might be offset by fewer kids knowing who I am. I have such a big problem here. *sigh*

So, you do the problem-solving for me: Alice, Dorothy or Athena for Halloween?
Come on people! I'll give you 10 points if you give me stores that have good( and cheap!) costumes/costume pieces along with what you think I should be. I know you want the ten points, come and take them!

I need help picking a Halloween Costume!!!
Choices: Strawberry Girl, Fairy, Samurai, or Wizard?

All of these are rather short and revealing

Ok,I have a 6 month old boy,a 18mos old girl and a 9 year old girl,Im looking for GOOD costumes to get online cheap, and NOT used,no ebay etc.....
anyone know any sites to get these at?? NO perverted ones, these are kids....
unique costumes especially!!!!!
guess I should have added more detail,Ive made most of my 9 year olds, she has been an angel.a fairy a princess and a monster bride,a color patch witch, she just wants something super fancy and very unique this year.and our town is small and everyone gets their costumes from the same 3 stores, target, walmart and kmart, around here thats all there is...so we wanted something no one else has.and Im just burnt out on ebay, was getting everything off there the past few months LOL,addict much!!!

I need to make 2 Wizard Costumes for 5 year old boys. I want to keep the cost as low as possible. I'm having a fairy party and 2 boys are being invited now. The girls are getting their wings, skirts, wands, etc after they complete tasks. I want the boys to earn pieces to a Wizard costume.

I've been tossing this idea:
•Use a black button down adult shirt (Walmart) with stars & moon attached to it.
•Curtain cord around the waist to blouse the shirt
•Cone hat made of foam (cant figure out how to make this either) with stars & moon on it

Do you have a better ideas for the costume? I dont know what to do.
