I know it's early but I like to get a head start on things. I am wanting to find really cute costumes for my kids, I want them to coordinate but I can't really think of anything but The Wizard of Oz and my daughter isn't in to it yet. Please no skimpy outfits. Oh and my 4 yr old is a girl and my 14 month old is a boy and he can walk alone.
I'm trying to make these costumes, but I cannot find any pattern.
Can anyone tell me where I could find pattern, ideas, tips or tricks?

for halloween me and my friends are being wizard of oz characters. i'm gonna be the scarecrow and i want a cool modern girlish costume that you can still tell i'm a scarecrow in. btw i am 15 years old =)

our ideas were pink ladies and tbirds from grease, disney couples, wizard of oz, football players and cheerleaders, superheros, and a few other random ideas... so wat do u think?? can u come up w/ something more creative and fun? (we're juniors in high school so it has to be appropriate)
my date and i were thinking about captain jack sparrow and elizabeth swann... but i don't have the money to spend on a dress or the materials to make the dress... any ideas to make it not so expensive?
we also need day date ideas if we don't do grease.

Anything creative and unique is what works best. But have to be able to be comfortable at the same time!
I will be playing the cowardly lion in yhe Wizard of Oz in a few weeks, and I have to go from lion to human in like 10 seconds. I will have to change my costume and remove all me make-up as will the scarecrow and tin man. I need a SUPER FAST way to remove make-up!!!

She tells me the only way she will wear it is if I wear an equally sexy womens costume. I honestly do not have a problem wearing one. Its only one night. The idea of wasting the cash on the costume is honestly more scary
