I work at a hospital and my group wants to dress up like the wizard of oz. Everyone has found costumes that look similar to the real characters. I have found nothing but ugly ones for the cowardly lion. I would like to have one similar to the one in the movie butI cannot find one. Can someone point me in the right direction.

I'm playing Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. I need a NOT CORNY blue ginham dress AND a black ginham dress. I also need cute Ruby Red Slippers that won't slip off of my feet when I'm dancing or flying (lifting us up in the tornado) PLEASE SEND LINKS or RECOMENDATIONS THANKS!!!!

Me, my wife and kids are all dressing up as characters from the wizard of oz for halloween. They all bought their costumes already except me. The costumes they had at the stores for the scarecrow looked really fake and cheap. I have what I can use for the pants, shoes and the mask but don't have any ideas for the rest. Does anyone have any ideas on how to put the finishing touches on my costume, such as the straw, shirt and the rope that goes around the waist. Any ideas will be appreciated and places where I might be able to find them. Thanks.

guess I should have added more detail,Ive made most of my 9 year olds,she has been an angel.a fairy a princess and a monster bride,a color patch witch,she just wants something super fancy and very unique this year.and our town is small and everyone gets their costumes from the same 3 stores,target,walmart and kmart,around here thats all there is...so we wanted something no one else has.and Im just burnt out on ebay,was getting everything off there the past few months LOL,addict much!!!

I wanted to buy some for my grandkids they love playing Dress up.

My fiance and I are attending a halloween party Friday night and everyone is doing matching themed outfits. I want to go as Dorothy and I got my whole outfit for ! However, he doesn't want to spend a lot of money on his so what are some home made ideas we can do for a character from the Wizard of Oz?

Looking for something that would make this costume a little less boring. It is for parties, so sexy is good... : D The glasses and wand come with it, so anything else would be great. Leggings? Hat? Links to actual items would be awesome.
